Cataracts CAN-C and NAC

Cataract is a glycosylation or a protein cross linking problem. The result of this reaction leads to the discoloration of the eye-lens to yellow and brown, and hence the impairment of vision. Carnosine is known to slow and help to prevent proteins from becoming cross-linked, and within the eye becoming a cataract.

CAN-C CONTAINING NAC has been shown to be highly resistant to carnosinase, the natural enzyme that breaks down L-carnosine into histamine. L-carnosine is an excellent anti-oxidant and is particularly effective against potent free-radicals. Within the aqueous humor in the eye L-Carnosine's anti-oxidant role is thought to be a major factor in the prevention of cataract. CAN-C CONTAINING NAC eye drops break down into L-Carnosine once inside the aqueous humor but when L-Carnosine drops were administered directly, the same did not occur – there was no presence of L Carnosine in the aqueous humor probably as it breaks into histamine. CAN-C CONTAINING NAC is therefore a successful conduit in the delivery of the L Carnosine to where it is needed.

Cataract develops when the eye's defence against free radical damage or its anti-oxidant defence is exhausted. This leads to the cross-linking of the lens thus producing a clouded lens which in turn causes impaired eyesight. The regular use of a 1% CAN-C CONTAINING NAC eye-drop like Can-C delivers a high-dose of carnosine capable of reversing the lens cross-linking and hence the reduction and eradication of cataract.

Did you know?

Senile cataract surgery is the most commonly performed surgical operation in the world today. In the US alone there are nearly 1.5 million expensive eye operations annually. Although cataract surgery is generally recognised as being one of the safest operations, there is a significant complication rate. In the US up to 50% of all patients having cataract extraction develop opacification of the posterior lens capsule. This is usually within two years and will therefore require further lazer treatment.

IVP's CAN-C CONTAINING NAC (Can-C) eye-drops provide treatment without surgery, and allow the patient to keep their natural lens rather than cope with an artificial one.

BUYER BEWARE

Quote from Dr Mark Babizhayev "I am most concerned that when consumers purchase the random n-acetylcarnosine eye drop formulations available in the market place that their poor results will reflect on my research. Amazingly these companies often reference my research in their marketing efforts even though they have no affiliation with me and are definitely not offering my proprietary N-acetylcarnosine (Can-C™) formulation which the research was based upon.... Fortunately there is a simple way for consumers to verify if they have purchased our clinically proven formula as we have printed the following statement on each and every box, 'Approved by Innovative Vision Products (IVP)."
